Mullah Sayid Jazrir

'''Mullah Sayid Jazrir''' was the leader of the Alliance for Allah, a radical Islamic movement formed in the mid-2030s.

Under Jazrir's command the AfA started the conflict later known as EuroWars.

Mullah Sayid Jazrir was assassinated in 2037. This led to the end of the war and the destruction of the AfA as the various factions started fighting over his succession.

In 4th edition Shadowrun, the map on the last page of the book has redrawn the UCAS-CAS border and it looks to include a great deal of Northern Virginia including Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William and the like back into CAS territory. Parts of Loudoun county to the Shenandoah Valley looks to belong to UCAS. --UserHardcore 1427, 21 May 2007 (EDT)

No map of North America has ever matched the written descriptions for the Virginia states. I.E. the SR4 and SR4A maps should not be taken as changes to the written descriptions. See the background section on the North Virginia page for more detail. —UserMJBurrage(User talkMJBurrage•SpecialContributions/MJBurrage) 2152, 27 April 2009 (EDT)
I've been a pen and paper RPGer since the 80's and an online gamer since I got hooked
on Island of Kesmai on compuserve. After I spent waaay too much money on that I retreated
to the world of BBSes for many years, co-sysoping a few fly by night Wildcat and WWIV systems.

Sometime in the 90's I stumbled across HoloMUCK and spent a few years on there lurking
about before I began to crave a more active adventure, and joined up on Clandestine around
96 or 97. I still drop by occasionally to say hello. After joining many a failed MUD projects
only to watch them vanish I found a MUD called Deckeon which featured a RPG theme I enjoyed
playing on paper; Shadowrun!

After playing for a few months I applied to be a builder but was taken on as a Game Master
in addition to building and quickly worked my way up. Deckeon struggled through some rough
times with vanishing coders, admins and players.

In the summer of '03 the only remaining Admin told me he was going to take the mud down unless
someone else would take over, I said I would and he gave me a copy of the code. Nothing was
officially decided and he vanished for almost a year. On New Years day '04 I unofficially
took over, and then near the end of that month Officially with Mulciber as my partner.

Flash forward a few years later and I still haven't learned my lesson, Deckeon is running
along fine but for fun I've joined a few projects here and there as a builder only to have
them close up shop. If you want something done right, do it yourself.

So anyway, that's the history of me, you probably don't care but there it is.

I believe this should be added to "National Corperations" since I find it unlikely that it would requre property in nations other then UCAS to broadcast in Seattle.

I edited the list of casinos and incorporated the list of casino groups which are canon within SR as operating in Vegas, and then listing their casinos by name if possible. There's not much, which is fair since casinos in Las Vegas come and go like the wind. --UserCrimsondude 2320, 16 August 2007 (EDT)
Seems to be an ad, does this really appear in any Cannon work?
--UserR337ard 1820, 12 June 2007 (EDT)

To my knowledge the Luxor hotel (WikipediaLuxor (hotel)) has not been mentioned in canon. It may have been added here because it's pyramid design is evocative of an archology and possibly the Aztech pyramid. I can also say from personal experience that the RA nightclub (1993–2006) had a very Shadowrun feel (combining the modern and ancient worlds in a dance club). But again I do not think it's canon Shadowrun. —UserMJBurrage(User talkMJBurrage•SpecialContributions/MJBurrage) 1056, 10 October 2008 (EDT)
In case you're wondering who I am. I wandered in while looking for Shadowrun resources to help put together a campaign I'm working on. I signed up to remove some of the ads and crap that I found on a few out-of-the-way pages or discussions, maybe I'll have something to contribute one of these days too.

Until then,

Do we have solid data on the date of creation for the Palestinian state? The article says that they gained autonomy just after arafat's death but then another part states that Palestine became independent in 2065.

Autonomy is not the same as Independence.

The novel references listed should not be "Semi-official" ... the novels are canon.--UserAdamJury 0519, 24 June 2007 (EDT)
Relatively new to the Sixth World. First 'awakened' when I played Shadowrun on the Super Nintendo back in the day. Recently got back into the Shadowrun universe after picking up a novel. Great stuff. Looking to help out around here wherever possible.
