Kyle Haeffner, a lawyer from Boston area, was the running mate of Dunkelzahn during the UCAS Presidential Election 2057, which they won by a narrow margin. After Dunkelzahn's Assassination on Inauguration's Eve, Kyle Haeffner was sworn in as the 8th President of the UCAS. He was overwhelmingly re-elected into office in UCAS Presidential Election 2060, but was assassinated before the election.

Haeffner's policy as a president is considered as following the ideas and trail of Dunkelzahn in fighting racism, exclusion and poverty. After his reelection in 2060, Haeffner also made moves to strengthen UCAS international ties, signing trade agreements with Great Britain, Quebec and Tir Tairngire on a national level where things have rather been made at a corporate level in the past years.

As Dunkelzahn served the shortest Presidential term ever in US and UCAS history, Kyle Haeffner served the shortest Vice-Presidential term ever. It makes its tenure of the position mostly insignificant. He was the twelfth Vice-President of the Union to succeed to presidency, and the second one in UCAS history.

In the chaos of Matrix Crash 2.0, the radical group New Revolution, who sought to recreate the old United States of America, staged a violent coup attempt. They succeeded in kidnapping President Haeffner, but their coup failed when military forces led by General Angela Colloton managed to defeat their forces. In the process, a rescue attempt was made on the president's location, but he was shot and killed in the chaos. Rumors abound about who fired the fatal shot.

Kyle Haeffner's first wife Alice Haeffner was a member of Echo Mirage and was killed in action in 2029.

Another 15 undersecretaries are orks or trolls.

It has never been confirmed whether Haeffner's appointments were those President Dunkelzahn planned to make, or which ones were on the dragon's list.
