The '''Hellhound''' (''Canis tartari'') resembles a large, coal-black dog with red-rimmed eyes. They tend to hunt in packs and, although they have been documented at bringing down creatures as large as bears, metahuman attacks seem to be rare. The usual prey for hellhounds are sheep or deer, but they also have been observed at scavenging rabbits or squirrels.
Although no scientific observation exists, it has been reported that the hellhounds can breathe fire and are strongly immune to likewise attacks.
