The player, described as the "test traveler", can access all of the demos from here and interact with objects gathered from them when they're completed. ''Lab Practicum'' from the Half-Life 2 soundtrack|''Half-Life 2'' soundtrack is used in the loading screen. ==Experiments== ===''Postcards''=== Choosing the destination from a selection of postcards, the player can use the Aperture Science Base Mounted Portal Sphere to teleport to digital versions of real world locations including WikipediaVesper Peak|Vesper Peak, WikipediaVenice|Venice in Italy, Raufarholshellir Lava Tube in WikipediaIceland|Iceland, and WikipediaSnæfellsjökull|Snæfellsjökull National Park in Iceland. These areas were created by using photogrammetry. Here, the player can interact with a robot dog character. ===''Slingshot''=== The player becomes a Calibration Trainee by throwing Personality Cores(?) and destroyed everything in Aperture Storage Annex using the Core Calibration slingshot.
