Hey, please don't forget to sign your comments with the infamous 4 "~".
I take it you mean opposing force or blue shift? Well, chronologically, blue shift comes first, but so long as you've played the original half life, it's not particularly important. I'd make my main reason for choice the style of game play. Opposing force has lots of additions that weren't in the original, new types of enemies, new weaponry, a better scope for teamwork, new types of puzzles, new skills (like climbing ropes), and offers more interaction with the g-man. Blue shift, on the other hand, is much more similar to the original, has less weaponry, but as I recall has more easter eggs, if you're into that kind of stuff. Also, blue shift reveals much more storyline from the earlier part of the black mesa incident, while opposing force only allows you a glance at how it ends. Try and make a decision based on this. Not knowing what you're looking for from the game, it's difficult for me to make a definite suggestion, but most people seem to prefer the military approach, so you probably want opposing force. Personally, I'd go with blue shift, but I've come to realise that I'm looking for something different from everyone else. Whatever man, whatever.UserDylan Bobson|Dylan Bobson 1308, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Just so you know I prefer story line to "a wide range of gameplay mechanics". Of course that makes a game n but I think I am leaning towards Blue Shift now thank you User128hoodmario|128hoodmario 1714, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

I'd say that would be a good choice, personally. Both are excellent games, but Calhoun is one of the most awesome characters in anything.SpecialContributions/212.219.101.90|212.219.101.90 1204, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
