== What Happend to the Beta? ==
The Half-Life Beta was originally leaked and never fully created. But There could be a change with this problem. Over the last few years Valve have not been speaking out anymore to the public and obviously every one thought that that was the end of Valve. But mainly the latest news is that there is a rumour going around saying that there will be an "Half-Life 3". When the public asked Valve this Valve denied this rumour and said no more. But if there were to be a Beta of HL3 it probably would be open to the public and free to use off of the Valve website. Half-Life 2 originally did have a Beta and it wasn't open to the public and was actually illegally leaked from one of the developers computer. Now many people have been wanting to play the original version of Half-Life 2 with the old ideas and weapons.
== Is there still a Beta? ==
Well many people have wanted to use the beta and they have not been able to find it online or anywere else but there is ment to be one out there and still active. Also because it is unfinished there are still bugs and errors which makes it quiet "hard" to play. Plus the old models were not fully animated and were used as prototypes for for a "test" demo. But Valve did make some Beta maps as well as weapons. But as well there is bugs with the game itself it also means that there will be bugs and errors with Lua in general and could cause the game to not work as well a the first luanch of it.
== Old and New ==
Because Half-Life 2 has models and textures from the Beta(Which most people have noticed)that were the finished versions of the Beta. Basically the liked ideas of the Beta go into Half-Life 2. Many people have debated about HL1 is the Beta and you don't need to purchase HL2 for any Beta project. The changes matter to the developers and the Beta because the Beta was just a prototype for HL2 they did not want to use the Beta for anymore constuction to HL2 they planted the Beta in the storage and then got leaked by a hack.
== The conclusion ==
well only personally i think there is still a playable Beta out there but not for sure. The reason i have made this topic is because i wanted to hear your thoughts about Beta and if you think there is one. Over the years i have loved the Half-Life series and wish to play "Half-Life 3" if it ever is complete or even exsists.
But after playing Half-Life 2 i found all the Source mods which contains new weapons maps ect. But i am just curious of the beta and i wanted to see the original ideas.
