Squalnomie

'''Squalnomie''' is a fictional city in the Deus Ex universe.  Located in Washington state and the site of a major battle between the NSF and federal forces, it is named after the real-life city of Snoqualmie, Washington (approximately 50 miles east of Seattle, along Snoqualmie Pass).

The fictional name "Squalnomie" is used in every occurence in the original ''Deus Ex'' game, except for the ''Midnight Sun'' newspaper printed insert in original (large box) copies of the game from its first release; in these, it is referred to by the real name of Snoqualmie.

Besides the slight fictionalization of the name (likely for legal reasons), the "Squal" portion of the name may have been a intended as a joke about the Seattle region's reputation for unending rain.

== 40 Units or 120 Units per minute? ==

In my game (Steam GOTY edition), Regeneration uses 120 units/min. In searching the web, I find various resources listing the 120 units/min rate, but none that specify whether it's a GOTY-only change or if this article is simply wrong. Anyone know for sure, before I change the page without knowing for sure what's correct? This would also affect the graphical chart on the Power Recirculator article. Not sure if it's a bit redundant at this point, but I found the http://community.wikia.com/wiki/Admin_Central:Guide_to_Achievements help article on community central.  Given that it was created back in late '11, I'm also a bit surprised more wiki's aren't doing the same thing...it might just be the fact that (at least here) such care was given towards creating decent replacement pictures, where most are just slightly altered 'badges'.
Hello there! Happy New Year! I apologize for the delayed response, but I've been busy with the holidays. Thank you for checking up on us. Everything has been going well since you left. We've actually seen a large increase in visitors, and I managed to take care of the problems that were lying around. Hope you'll be able to visit the site more often.
Keep up the good work man. I did notice one problem though. The "Featured Images" on the main page isn't working. I tried to edit it to fix it and even used a different template to test it out but it didn't work in preview mode either. Do you think that this is a wikia malfunction? I don't see why it would suddenly stop working unless it was either a bug or someone mistyped something and rendered the code null.

I couldn't figure it out, but maybe you'd have better luck looking at it than I do.

Actually, there is nothing in there about truly custom achievements. Everybody on community central just keeps going on about the word 'custom' when all they mean is change the little thumbnail inside the ugly Wikia default stars, circles etc. Well, this is a Wiki, maybe I should add a little line in there myself? :D

So I just finished playing AC3 and was interested in hearing your thoughts on the end of Desmond's story. Something that bugs me a lot is that Minerva repeatedly mentions Juno wanting to enslave humanity, yet this seems somewhat fake. Considering Juno was the only First Civ member to stay behind and actually tried to save the world, I'm thinking she may have some ulterior motives in mind. Also, there's the fact that Minerva is able to broadcast her "holographic self", if you will, to the Grand Temple when she's dead and nowhere nearby...Unless she somehow survived, like Juno. It's just seems to random to me that Minerva goes out pf here way to expose Juno, without revealing what she intended to do herself. They left a lot of loose ends to the Desmond storyline, but I was interested in hearing your opinion.

Short version - another bullshit ME3esque ending seen in multitude of 2012 games.

Long version - with all the hammering down of Templar/Assassin cooperation in this installment, it'll probably be Assassins and Templars vs Juno. Still don't see what she could possibly do, having no Piece of Eden to do mindcontrol, and humanity possessing modern ballistic weaponry.

Minerva went on how she could see forward into time and stuff. But that begs a question, so why bother relaying message to Desmond through Ezio in the vault in the first place, since she knew it would be for nothing anyway. Ah, plotholes.
I agree wholeheartedly. My theory is that Minerva is still alive, and Juno is planning revenge on the First Civilization. Do they ever mention whether she's physically inside the Temple, or that only her projection was freed? It's too vauge and too full of plotholes. Ahhh, UBISOFT.
I tried it as well, and it didn't work. The link doesn't appear when you add it in there. Might just be the wiki. I'm going to wait and see.
Hey, i was just browsing your Wiki and I noticed your great custom badges. I've had a look over your css but cant find anything. Can you link me to the relevant code or explain how you did this? I would love it on my own wiki. Thanks

Greetings - this message is in response to your comment on http://deusex.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Sarif_Industries Sarif Industries talk page.

You certainly may, if you wish, though it sounds like quite the project with several variables. Just make a new page, title it accordingly, and I might suggest that you try to follow the same formatting as the list of experience-by-area. A few examples of 'variables' come to mind - a) an enemy may be struck unconscious, looted, revived by a comrade, but will magically recieve a pistol with one round (or possibly something else?). b) the sewers of detroit will fill up with frag mines, but only if you accept the mission Smash the State. c) Loot from good guys vs. loot from badies? - all rhetorical; just something to think about as you're creating.  Also, given the size of the project, I might advise making a notation on the bottom of the page as you work on it, marking exactly where you left off for your own personal records as well as allowing others to help.  ...but hey, it's up to you.

Best of luck.
