Spec Ops soldier

==Characteristics==
They are the basic type of Belltower Spec Ops, first encountered in the prologue, during the attack on Sarif Industries, supporting the Tyrants. This is also their main role in the game - they are deployed in Highland Park, Picus TV headquarters and Omega Ranch. In all three locations, Adam Jensen eventually fights a member of the Tyrants. In areas of lesser importance, they are substituted by regular Belltower mercenaries.

Later in the game, Spec Ops are deployed with Ogres and Sneakers. Some come equipped with cybernetic arms, but the majority remains non-augmented. Their toughness is on par with regular medium Belltower mercenaries, but they are usually better equipped, utilizing Combat rifles and Sniper rifles.

==Tactics==
They have no major strengths and as with regular Belltower operatives, can be killed with practically any weapon. They utilize more advanced tactics than other enemies and will attempt to flank Jensen, use grenades to flush him out and move as a squad. They lack helmets, so headshots can kill them easily. Staying in cover is advisable though, as their automatic weapons can be dangerous, especially if they're in a group.

Many AIs are considered as characters in the world of Deus Ex, Ava Johnson being one of them (another example being NG Resonance); to be specific, Ava Johnson is Tracer Tong's creation as well as being a minor story element, the helicopter she flies/controls is not (presumably that is, it doesn't explicitly state that he didn't to my knowledge) so it's probably better to consider them separately in this context User:Philanthr0py|Philanthr0py 23:15, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

:Ava Johnson is just an AI, not a helicopter. For exemple, they can use holocomm to talk with you so they are not always on her helicopter, which could be driven by anyone if someone happens to prevent it from reaching the programming of this one. ==Vehicles and NPC Hostility==
The article states that ground vehicles are never animated, which is not always true. In DX3 you can see driving vehicles in areas inaccessible to the player. Also it might be interesting to include somewhere that sometimes groups of armed civillians near the player (e.g. punks in Detroit) turn hostile if the player hits one of the stationary cars inside the playable area with a thrown heavy object (e.g. large dumpster). I thoughts she was one of the "good guys" and later I learned the she is responsible of cloning Adam and choising to work for those "bad guys".

I really can't get the reason she would do such a thing. Adam is fighting them the entire game and she is working for them and it is revealed that she was also semi responsible for the plague in 2072.
