LaGuardia Airport

File:Laguardia.png|thumb|300px|A map of LaGuardia. Barrels of Ambrosia can be found in the boathouse, at a helipad below the Elevator, and at Lebedev's Jet inside the Hangar.
By 2052, a number of terminals and hangers at '''LaGuardia Airport''' have been sold to a number of private companies and individuals including Juan Lebedev to help relieve the city's financial troubles. Lebedev, being an NSF Sympathizer, allows the NSF to move stolen Ambrosia and armed guards into the airport. To avoid the guards, JC enters the airport through a secret passageway under the Mole People|Mole People Tunnels. JC is tasked with locating 3 ambrosia containers; one being airlifted at a helipad, one preparing to leave the docks by boat, and one aboard Lebedev's 747|Lebedev's personal 747. Lebedev's jet is a pivotal point in the game: here Paul reveals the truth about UNATCO, JC speaks to Lebedev himself about the NSF, and Anna Navarre may die here depending on the players actions.

The Airport's lower levels are monitored by several NSF operatives, most with regular small arms, but some wield heavier weapons like flamethrowers and Sniper rifle (DX)|sniper rifles. The surface is populated by NSF guards, with low-level 100101 small security bot|security bots patrolling the area. Once JC reaches the 747, all NSF NPCs will become friendly to him, and once they talk to Lebedev Gunther Hermann will lead a UNATCO raid on the airport.

Info expansion

Would it be prone to add the events of the beta, up to Highland Park warehouse, to the HR events section here? Or do we wait until 23rd?

:You may have to check with the other admins on this, but spoilers regarding the leak are totally ok in my book. After all, wikis are just sites devoted to explaining the entire subject in great detail (Spoiling it). Until HR comes out though, you may want to use a spoiler warning. Im sure we have one somewhere on the site. User:Dorgles|Dorgles 22:33, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

A wiki always contains spoiler and it's created for become a kind of library for the subject it talk about. Feel free to add every official content related to the Deus Ex universe, even the beta's events =). User:Itachou|Itachou User talk:Itachou|~talk~ 12:58, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

== Mention in Deus Ex 1 ==

This page used to have this listed under trivia:

"Adam Jensen was mentioned in the original Deus Ex. In a newspaper in Hong Kong, it stated that the authorites were searching for one of the terrorist leaders of the NSF, Adam Jensen."

Did it turn out to be false? It would have been cool if Jenson actually was tied into to DX1.

I do vaguely remember something like that Special:Contributions/71.199.154.166|71.199.154.166 21:10, September 1, 2011 (UTC)

:Sorry but it's false. I check all the newpapers, books, bulletins, emails etc. in Deus Ex and I sadly never find the name "Adam" and "Jensen" on one of them. User:Itachou|Itachou User talk:Itachou|~talk~ 21:26, September 1, 2011 (UTC)

It is false, I think I know what you're referring to and the name you see is the name you gave your character in the original Deus Ex. I think you can read it on those security bulletin thingies, I want to say I remember reading that in the...whatever that shop is right outside The Lucky Money, I forget. User:Philanthr0py|Philanthr0py 22:20, September 11, 2011 (UTC)

I don't mean to question you but I didn't give my character name as Adam Jensen. And I'm pretty sure that I seen it in the newspaper in that shop that you can break into next to the Luck Money.

Just found this easter egg playing through the original Deus Ex. I can confirm that Adam Jensen is mentioned as the leader of terrorists hunted by unatco. It is listed in the newspaper in the barracks at the entrance of the sub base. 7/9/12

Source please? An in-game pic would be great as well please. To prove that this is a legitimate claim. --User:Codeyy|Codeyy (User talk:Codeyy|talk) 04:52, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

== Megan is not his girlfriend. ==

As indicated by an e-mail to Megan from her mother early in the game, Adam and Megan are no longer together by the time the events of the game take place. This is also supported by the "uncomfortable" conversation they have in an elevator when Francis interrupts them.

Edit The e-mail is on Megan's computer in her office at the very start of the game, called 'call me',

You can see it also on Quinn's pc (Missing Link) in the E-Mail with Jensen's biography: "2023 - 4 year romantic relationship with Megan Reed ends".

== Cloned? ==
I know megan helped clone the denton brothers, and research on adam helped, but I didnt think they were directly related to him. Didnt he die in 2027, and wasnt paul born like 4 years prior to DXHR? User:Dorgles|Dorgles 21:40, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Yes. But the chimera nanites were made using his DNA. So effectively, the nanite infusions used to augment JC and Paul passed Jensen's genetics to them as well. User:-S-|-S- 23:51, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

:I have to agree with Dorgles, stating that Paul is Jensen's son is a big assumption that needs '''sources''', not opinions. The nanite-virus chimera is not fully explained but can be extrapolated from Jaime Reyes' computer Principal/2C Briefing. From that e-mail you can see what the basic structure of the entire virion is like. The nanotech components (CPU, transmitter etc) is contained inside the organic-capsid of the virus. The nanotech duplication process is not explained (after all it hasn't really been done in real life yet, even for big machines), but the capsid is explained in basic terms. The virus does utilise the host cell's machinery to create the capsid but it is not explained whether it is of the retrovirus-type, which would integrate the nucleic acid sequence into the host genome sequence, or if it only transiently uses the cell's ribosomes to duplicate the capsid. Since the only confirmed genetic code contained in the nanites is to encode the virus capsid, then Jensen could not have provided this genetic code because he is a human, not a virus, irrespective of whether the nanite-virus integrates the genetic sequence into Paul's genome. None of Jensen's genetic code is required by Paul to accept nano-augmentions because it is explained that Paul's ability to do so comes from his lack of immunoglobulin epsilon (IgE). Also chronologically it is not possible for any of Jensen's DNA to have made its way into Paul since Jensen's DNA was extracted at the age of 32 in 2025. I am going to remove the relationship between Paul and Jensen unless someone provides a credible source stating that Paul is indeed a test tube baby with artifical memories and is cloned from Jensen's DNA because as it stands the birth of Paul Denton is shrouded in mystery from DX1. Paul most certainly does not receive Jensen's genetic material via nanites, and in any case that does not make them related if you think what makes someone your biological father (e.g. if you had a kidney transplant from a stranger, does that make them your relative?). == Non-canon stuff ==

This page describes loads of events in Jensen's life which don't necessarily happen:
*Lets Zeke Sanders go. (You can kill him instead).
*Persuades Wayne Haas to let him into the morgue. (You can sneak in without talking to him).
*Rescues Tong Jr. (This is a bonus mission with pre-order).
*Talks to Taggart at the convention centre. (If you go backstage straight away, you miss him entirely).
*Talks Sandoval out of suicide. (Sandoval doesn't always attempt suicide; it depends on dialogue).
*Saves Faridah Malik after the heli crash. (You can just leg it, and she dies).
*Persuades Darrow to give access codes at Panchaea. (You can piss him off and he refuses).
*Meets Sarif and Taggart in Panchaea. (You can go straight on down without meeting them. But in this case you will have a choice of just 2 endings instead of 4: Darrow and selfdestruction).
The guidelines for the wiki say that background pages should be written in a way which omits non-canon events, and the definition of non-canon includes events which are not necessarily canon because they don't have to occur in every playthrough of the game.

So unless anyone objects, I'll make a few changes.

Special:Contributions/193.60.90.102|193.60.90.102 10:13, October 26, 2011 (UTC)

And how would you know that these choices aren't canonical? Given that Jensen's background show's he's not someone to kill a person outright (Mexicantown), it's unlikely that he'd just shoot Zeke either. Similiar apply to others. Plus, why skip elements from DLC? It's there, and it's meant to be there as part of the story.

We could turn this around and say your edits of killing Zeke, etc. could also be considered non-canon, and keep circling around like this.

Unless you'd make edits like "Adam could resolve the situation by doing x or y", I'm not really convinced. User:-S-|-S- 16:19, October 26, 2011 (UTC)

I think you misunderstand what I was gonna do... I wasn't going to edit it to change which outcome was described; I was going to edit it to avoid mentioning ''any'' specific outcome of bits where there's a choice. This is what the wiki guidelines say to do; the guidelines are very specific about this exact issue. I was just using those particular examples to show how much non-linearity there is (which the original author may not have realized; the non-linearity in the game is sometimes subtle).

Special:Contributions/188.222.177.167|188.222.177.167 21:11, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Alright then, go ahead, and we'll see how this comes out. User:-S-|-S- 02:46, October 28, 2011 (UTC)

I re-wrote lots of bits in minor ways but as I thought it doesn't add up to a very major change overall... just some slightly "coy" phrasing which describes the encounters without committing to a particular outcome. I also corrected a lot of grammar/phrasing on the way through... "was" rather than "had been" etc. Meh... I think it's an improvement but there's not much in it really, anyone else have an opinion? I left the "Rescue Tong Junior" bit in for the moment, although strictly speaking it may not be canon according to this wiki's definition.

== lower legs ==

In the comics only the lower part of Jensens legs have been replaces (a inch below the knee's), but considering his eyes are blue in the same comic I do wonder how much the game and comic have in common.

== the destruction of Panchaea ==

The article states

"However, regardless of your choice, Panchaea implodes on itself, most likely due to the fact that the Hyron Project, which was largely responsible for keeping the station intact, was destroyed by Adam."

Is there any reference to this in the game or literature?

Must be true: Jensen must die anyway I think '(

== Jensen's Origins ==
When Adam finds Brent Radford, he can retrieve an email Radford intercepted between Megan Reed and one of her colleagues. It details exactly what was done to Adam at White Helix. But as we don't have individual pages for emails, I'll just leave it here until someone can figure out how to integrate it with Jensen's page.

Hey Megan,

I know you had some questions about the files I sent. Sorry about all graphs earlier, but that sample was nothing short of groundbreaking and I got excited. I don't suppose you could tell me where you got it?

The short answer to the original breakdown I sent is this... yes, the DNA samples are remarkable and we were unbelievably lucky to catch the reason why. We've been working with Versalife's new Chaos Model Genomatrix, which is trying to apply fractal mathematics to the study of genetic mutation. In essence, we've been trying to predict the future of human evolution using past mutations stored in the database of our mitochondria(which is passed uninterrupted from ancestral Eve through our mothers; it gives us an accurate and universal roadmap for our common past).

The thing is, the sample you sent fits one of our evolutionary models of the future. We're talking about someone who is ahead of the genetic curve by one step, maybe two. Do you know what this could mean for medicine alone? You have a living, breathing Nobel Prize on your hands!

The thing is... I can't tell you if this is a natural leap in evolution, or something done to the mother while the baby was in vitro. But I do know that this persons' mother had no-such mutations... the mitochondria don't lie.

Hello. I recently added the portal template to http://www.uncharted.wikia.com/Uncharted_Wiki my wiki, and I saw your message on Tierrie's Dragon Age page.

If you want your slider to slide, you have to add the following text to MediaWiki:Common.js

You should copy and paste this by clicking edit and copying the text from the edit box, not from the page itself. Also, do not copy the or text.

/* Any JavaScript here will be loaded for all users on every page load. */

  $("class^=portal_sliderlink").click(function() { // bind click event to link
    $tabs.tabs('select', this.className.replace("portal_sliderlink_", ""));
    return false;
  });
  $('').click(function() {
    $tabs.tabs('select', ($tabs.tabs('option', 'selected') == ($tabs.tabs('length'))-1) ? 0 : $tabs.tabs('option', 'selected') + 1 ); // switch to next tab

  });

I see what you mean about it overlapping. If you use the portal template on the main page it wont overlap as the main page is wider than article or sandbox pages. Hi Snfonseka. == Re:Your opinion on achievements ==

Hey. Here's what I think of the achievements system:

The Good:
*You can say what you like about the achievements system, but it's undeniable that it promotes editing and motivates editors. Users are much more likely to edit if there's a goal they can work towards.
*It's customisable. You can name the rewards to fit your wiki's subject, and add your own images to them. You can even create your own achievements.

The Bad:
*No matter where you go, you'll always find someone who, when they see a leaderboard, decide that they have to be on top of it. Admittedly, this is kind of the point of a leaderboard, but there are two ways to get there. There are the editors who will work on the wiki productively and eventually earn achievements through this work, and there are the editors who see the requirements for an achievement and tear through pages, adding categories that don't belong, images that have no real relevance, and posting nonsense in blog posts. Whether they realise it or not, they are doing severe damage to the quality of the articles the edit, and to the quality of the wiki as a whole.
*The achievement badges that pop up aren't exactly subtle. They take up a lot of space in Special:WikiActivity (we had to abandon our original homepage activity feed because they ruined it whenever they popped up). The images all have to fit into odd frames as well, which may not look good on the wiki.

Back when the achievement system was originally active, I was the only admin on the wiki, and as a result, had to patrol all of the edits myself, which probably lead to my patience with it being worn down far quicker that normal. Looking back, I can safely say that having just one person to oversee the achievements is a bad idea. If you have a group of editors willing to oversee the system, (my suggestion, at least one admin and a group of dedicated editors with rollback rights to undo any potentially damaging edits), then I'd say go for it. Now that we have five admins on the Uncharted wiki, I might actually reinstate the achievements, as we have more people to keep an eye on them this time.

That's just my opinion. Back when I had the achievements, you had to request them from Wikia staff. Now that they're in Wikia Labs, you can just turn them off and on at the touch of a button, so I'd suggest giving them a few weeks trial run. After that, you can make the decision whether to keep them or remove them. I hope this helped. --User:Klock101|Klock101 16:18, August 26, 2011 (UTC)

== Standard regarding naming of weapons pages. ==

Hello my friend ;)

Sorry but I don't agree, weapon pages must have their in-game name to be more easily findable and identifiable by players and not their name in the universe that many players don't know and that is difficult to find, even if a weapon it is just called "Pistol" (like the ZHL-U1953 of ''Deus Ex''). Otherwise, the real name of the weapon should be write in the page instead of just "Pistol" or something.

It is a policy already use by The Vault which is one of the best Wikia gaming and a reference for Wikia format, and I think it's the best solution. I even saw someone write their in-game name in parentheses because they were hard to find them http://deusex.wikia.com/index.php?title=Deus_Ex%3A_Human_Revolution_weapons&action=historysubmit&diff=14960&oldid=14166, so this is a problem for everyone.

In another point, the game always add new name, for exemple the Longsword Whisperhead which is a pre-order weapon and also a sniper rifle (and a sniper rifle already exist in-game) is name in-game "Silenced sniper rifle" and not "Sniper rifle". The Fallout universe is a good exemple, even with the impressive number of weapons (more than 100), none have ever had the same name. Anyway, if that happens, we just have to add something in parentheses to be separated from that of the original game, but for now this is not the case.

If someone want to have more information about this weapon type in the universe, overview page are make for that like Pistol. User:Itachou|Itachou User talk:Itachou|~talk~ 14:25, August 29, 2011 (UTC)

Yes in fact our weak point currently is the "categorization" (many false and multiple categories of the same things) and copyright and categorization for images (almost nonexistent, that's why I want a new admin in fact). :Yes =). For weapons it's "Deus Ex weapons", "Deus Ex: Invisible War weapons" and "Deus Ex: Human Revolution weapons", after I see some categories with all words capitalized like "Mechanically Augmented Characters" instead of "Mechanical-characters" or some other category etc.

:But anyway apart of DX:HR weapons category, if you don't want to fix some now don't bother you about that specifically, but they are mistake that we need to be corrected one day or another. User:Itachou|Itachou User talk:Itachou|~talk~ 18:13, August 29, 2011 (UTC)

== Category cleanup  ==

Thanks, I think sincerely that you are the most valuable admin here. The initiative to fix things is something important that you are the only one to show that among all admins.

I would like to have your opinion on a question. Nobody puts the copyright on images despite my news and the spam of the policies and guidelines on the main page and the message of the community. The problem is that I have no solution, I don't want to discourage people to upload good images and new images for Deus Ex: Human Revolution by removing them or banning them temporary, but copyright just take 5 seconds to put and without it, legally, we can have problems even if it does not seem like that serious.

It is a basic principle and the Wiki has enough things to be fix, what should we do in your opinion? I get tired of always being behind people to remind them to follow the policies and guidelines and put copyrights. User:Itachou|Itachou User talk:Itachou|~talk~ 12:46, August 30, 2011 (UTC)

:Yes I saw since I was a contributor of DA Wiki =). Well in fact in The Vault, despite the impressive number of people, everyone, even the new, all put copyrights (only not for "user page images"). So why? They are more than five times than us.

:Anyway I think yes automatic copyright templates selected during the uploading is a good solution to the problem. Actually it's not a problem to put them, it is to do that forever without anyone take that into account.

:Also, except you and me, not one put the copyright, even the admins! For the ban it's just a fear warning, to make them realize a minimum it is important and a Wiki is not a lynching content without any legal protection.

:Haha in fact for spam I was referring me spamming the policies and guidelines everywhere. Anyway I already saw 3-4 vandal and I ban them for 1 weeks. We are a small Wiki in term of admins and the vandal are so more dangerous for us compared to The Vault, Wookiepedia or Dragon Age Wiki. Why you add the category "News" to a personal blog (Noahtomlin/Newest Deus Ex) and which contains no new information about Deus Ex, just a personal feeling? News category are only for that =). User:Itachou|Itachou User talk:Itachou|~talk~ 16:39, September 15, 2011 (UTC)

==Save limits==
Hello Snfonseka =)!

Since I think you have almost finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution and you have probably many saves, I saw today that the game have a save limits of 99 slots which I have largely achieved in Hengsha since I save a lot to take screen later for the Wiki.

I found my saves but when I remove all and put just one for create a new serie, it doesn't appeared. I try many solution findable here:
*http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=24654370
*http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=119669&page=2

and some other but that does nothing.

So, well, I can't continue my game without find a proper solution, have you find something about that my friend? User:Itachou|Itachou User talk:Itachou|~talk~ 16:36, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

:Hey thanks for the tips, it was very useful, I was able to make a new serie and continue my game =). Have a nice evening and see you soon Snfonseka! User:Itachou|Itachou User talk:Itachou|~talk~ 20:56, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

== Deletion ==

I've deleted it because as per the new navigation scheme items should be recategorized into the appropriate specific categories, such as consumables, weapons, quest/miscellanous items etc. I was probably a bit too fast in deleting the category. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/0/08/Personal_Sig_Image.gif User:Tagaziel|Tagaziel (User talk:Tagaziel|call!) 07:47, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

I've seen it mostly in the IW character pages, and sometimes on Jensen's lately. User:-S-|-S- 17:23, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

== Blank space ==

Hey there Snfonseka. The reason there is a black space in your video is because the id=slider creates a div with id = portal_slider. There is a css style for portal_slider that sets it as 450px high.

 { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; position: relative; height: 450px; }
Unfortunately, I didn't design the portal system to be used by more than one component - the slider component has to be unique or else the left and right buttons will just slide all the sliders. It is possible to extend it across multiple components but it will involve some rewriting of the script. If you really need it, I can take a look into extending it so that it is backwards compatible with the current system. --{{SUBST:User:Tierrie/SigInclude}} 04:19, September 19, 2011 (UTC) == Message== do you guys read and approve all edits before sending the message i got saying "thanks"? or is it an automated message?-- User:Tx Ohmaha|Tx Ohmaha ==Hi there== Hello Snfonseka :) Just to keep you up to date, Itachou has left Wikia for now due to numerous advancements in 'real-life'. == Fanfic facts ==

I see most of this article was copy/pasted with wikipedia, which had it all wrong. Anna's backstory isn't really mentioned in Deus Ex and there's no evidence that she's 5'10 or ever worked with MOSSAD. I'd say nearly all of the pre-DX claims are all bunk.Special:Contributions/74.101.32.230|74.101.32.230 01:36, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

:Actually, Anna's backstory come of her dossier in UNATCO website before the release of ''Deus Ex'', created for give background information about the character (like some of her mech-augmentations), so they are official and should be taken into account. User:Itachou|Itachou User talk:Itachou|~talk~ 23:37, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, whole part about Anna Navarre that says "Born in Russia, trained as a commando by the Israeli army" is canon; it's quoted from the Deus Ex Prima Guide (paperback edition for PC, not pdf Conspiracy edition for PS2). User:Eddo36|Eddo36 01:49, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
