He is a musician who plays, among other istruments, the guitar. He has studied ballet and he writes. Jay married his wife Tracey in her home town of Melbourne on January 25, 2009.
On March 4, 2010, Franke and the rest of the California Dreams cast reunited on the Jimmy Fallon show.
Jay is the QA Manager at a very large music publisher in Australia.
