Someone change the title name Farida in Faridah.User:Elpeppo87|Elpeppo87 10:53, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

== regarding the change in trivia ==
Malik means "proprietor" like a person who owns alot of lands, businesses, investments...

Mallek means king.

Special:Contributions/| 18:20, August 29, 2011 (UTC)the person before me

This is simply not true. Malik means king and is an extremely common last name in Arabic-speaking countries and throughout the Muslim world. The word that means proprietor is Maalik with a long a, and I have never seen it used as a last name. Mallek is not a word in Arabic and doesn't mean anything.

You have it backwards: "Maalik" is the common name, "Malik" isn't. Several of my family members and friends are named "Maalik", and it's most famously the name of one of Islam's archangels. It's conceivable that some people might be named "Malik", especially in the non-Arab Islamic countries, but I'm arabic I've never come across it. Either way, Faridah's last name is pronounced with the much more common long a, so it certainly shouldn't be translated as "king". It's confusing in English because the name is almost always spelled "Malik" even if it's pronounced "Maalik".

I don't quite see why the revolver is described as so efficiant - the upgraded 10mm pistol can kill the heavies with ONE headshot.

*Because that requires lining up a headshot while under extremely heavy fire, versus getting far easier torso shots with a weapon that stuns them even if it doesn't kill them. The revolver is very quick, very reliable, and requires little precision or skill to kill everyone before Malik dies. You can't honestly say the same of the pistol. Just as an added method, I just finished saving her at the cost of 2 Typhoon rounds (one for the heavies and one for the bot) and a bit of rifle ammo. I was awfully surprised that it worked, but I had left my frags and EMPs in Detroit and was improvising. User:Marstinson|Marstinson 06:10, September 6, 2011 (UTC)

== Pacifist way of saving her ==

I really don't see the problem with it, as it's very, very easy on normal difficulty (not tried on hard yet). And I really don't see what else one could write: You switch cloaking on, start running, start stunning. End of story. You don't become visible when attacking, so your only problems are the guys firing at your last known position (so keep moving) and low battery status (so keep eating). Oh, and I've seen a gras grenade on my first try (when I simply shot everyone) but not on my second (when I stunned everyone). I don't think it's a specific event here, just one of the tactics the AI may or may not use.

*The only time I saw a gas effect was when the helicopter exploded. And what are you stunning them with, exactly? A weapon or takedowns? If it's takedowns, you must be carrying nothing but huge tubs of weight gain 4000. Edit: Wait, seriously, the stun gun? Special:Contributions/| 10:14, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
**No, the gas effect I saw was way before that, one of the enemies actually threw a gas grenade. And yes, seriously, the stun gun - the only weapon I ever need (ok, EMP grenades are nice for bots and the bosses are a completely different game, but you know what I want to say :-). Pretty easy to use. Here's a video of someone doing it - not very skilled, admitedly, someone with more skill could do it much quicker and easier, but it shows the general idea (and as I said, it's extremely simple in normal mode - will test it on hard as soon as I get there in my current game).Special:Contributions/| 10:41, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
== Move tactics to walkthrough? == I'd propose moving the information on how to save her to the appropriate walkthrough (Find Vasili Sevchenko's GPL Device) as it is a discussion of tactics and not character-specific information. If nobody objects I'll try to remember to do it in a couple of days. --User:Baggend|Baggend 06:15, September 6, 2011 (UTC) : Sounds like a good idea, I would just keep a link to the appropriate part of the walkthrough in the page, because many peope who have trouble saving her will probably start with searching for her name.--User:Irian|Irian 07:00, September 6, 2011 (UTC) Faridah Malik's Outfit Mod File:Asdwlx.jpg check this mod here in this website : User:Googleheadsummertime|Googleheadsummertime 13:40, September 10, 2011 (UTC)GH == Getting to the Elevator before she dies... == And killing Narhari Kahn, results in what? I'm interested in this because it says she gets executed by him, but you can kill him before this? User:Eternity08|Eternity08 14:49, October 1, 2011 (UTC) :I'll have a go at confirming on my next play-through, though it might take a while so someone do feel free to beat me to it! I expect the assumption is that she is killed anyway by some other Belltower operative, as they aren't exactly known for being upstanding citizens, so it's probably the same outcome, but you won't get the cutscene? Just a guess anyway, but I'm pretty sure the only way to save her is to actually deal with the enemies.User:Haravikk|Haravikk 14:41, February 5, 2012 (UTC) == How to save Malik + Ghost with only takedowns? == I'm trying to save Faridah by incapacitating everyone using single/double takedowns while also obtaining the "Ghost" bonus. I have tried it many times but never managed to obtain it. I have enough energy to play this whole section with Run Silently, Cloaking System and Smart Vision, meaning that it should be impossible for enemies to see or her me. Hence the reason I am not getting Ghost must be that an unconscious body is seen. * Is there a video of someone taking down everyone that ends with obtaining Ghost? * Should one destroy the Boxguard as soon as possible or leave it for last? * In which order should one take out the human enemies? * Which guards could possibly be seen by whom?
Can the sniper on top of the smaller building see unconscious bodies of the guards in the large building?
Can one of the two snipers see the other sniper?
Who can see the guard that takes cover in front of the smaller building?
Can guards in the larger building see bodies that are on the ground floor by the crates where the Boxguard spawns? User:Wea0|Wea0 01:45, July 16, 2012 (UTC) == Relation Jensen & Malik == Just wanted to comment, after finishing I felt that there were a few loose ends in the game. After returning from the Sarif Plant, one can talk to Malik... and she seems very friendly and interested in Jenson (offering help). At that point I was quite sure this would develop into a relation during the game. But even if you help Malik with here personal Side Quest (about the coverup of here female friend), and keep her alive to the end of the game things do not change. I am guessing that this "first" dialogue may have been a left-over from a early iteration where they may have had a relation, but that got dropped by the devs. It would fit, since Megan Reed was supposedly dead and their relation had already ended anyway... so there would have been room for someone new in Jenson's life. Or maybe I am interpreting too much into this. — User:AEon|AEon (User talk:AEon|talk) 09:21, August 28, 2012 (UTC)

What do you mean by that? Born around 1902? --User:TheBearPaw|TheBearPaw 09:39, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Is written in the Timeline( and here: But I think it is an indicative date, probably born in early 1900. - User:Elpeppo87|Elpeppo87 09:47, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

Where in the game did it imply that DeBeers was English?
