'''Augmented Reality''' is a feature in the newest game in the series Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
When enabled, the player will see a yellow outline around all interactive objects in the world, such as items, weapons, and doors, allowing the player to easily find what they are looking for without fumbling through useless props and items.
They will also see a marker indicating the location of their goal, and the distance in meters. Following a negative fan response, Eidos Montréal|Eidos Montreal chose to make the feature entirely optional, though playing on the "Tell me a Story" and "Give Me a Challenge" difficulties will automatically enable it (It can still be turned off if the player desires).
The player's HUD, including their health count, energy count, minimap, and weapon info will all be visible regardless of whether the player has enabled Augmented Reality.
