Recently Maurice Dean Wint turned heads with the double whammy of
brilliant performances as Curtis in Curtis's Charm and
as The General in Rude.
Born in Leicestershire, England, Maurice's background is an interesting
amalgam of British and Jamaican experience. He came to Canada with
his family in 1967 and after completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts
in Drama at York University, he joined the Toronto theatre scene.
Known for his tireless preparation for a role, he has appeared in
Where is Kabuki?, Serpent Kills and Titus Andronicus
which he received a Dora Award nomination for best actor in a dramatic
production. In television, Maurice has guest starred on Robocop,
Street Legal, E.N.G., and has recurring roles in TekWar
and PSI Factor.
